Lily Dansen refuses to date vampires. The last time she trusted a one, he turned her. She agrees to a date arranged by 1 NightStand, believing that a quick tryst is all that’s left for her.
A 376-year-old half-vampire, half human Luc Fortier can’t continue to satisfy the vampire fantasies of young ladies while his dreams go unfulfilled. He vows to bedazzle one last date before he calls it quits.
Neither Luc nor Lily expect more than an evening of passion, but they haven’t counted on Madame Eve’s superior matchmaking skills.
Kitten’s Review:
Be still my vampire lovin’ heart. This is officially one of my favorite one night stand stories. It has been awhile since I have indulged myself on really good vampire erotic fiction. And I am so glad I picked up this one. It was emotional, well written, and good lord was the vampire sex hot as all get out!
Cara has an amazing voice as an author. I found that the story has easy flow, smooth transitions, and it effortlessly took us on the sexy and romantic journey of Luc and Lily. Luc is a hybrid vampire, shunned by his kind. He was Alpha and perfectly hunky vampire (think Lestat without all the
cockiness). He is all vampire swagger with love to give. Lily is a woman that was turned without a choice. Her independence, smart thinking, and willingness to accept her passions as a woman endeared me to her.
Did the truth of them both ultimate cause a painful moment of stupidity on bother characters? Of course! It wouldn’t have been and erotic romance without a little bit of trouble. I even cried! Oh yes, I sniffled, tears welled up, and I needed a big hug!
However, in the end, these two get all that they desire.
This story also makes you wonder about Madame Eve even more. I have always had my assumptions about her. That a computer is not actually picking the matches, but this supernatural creature is that has lost her own love and doesn’t want to subject others to that fate. I would like to believe she is fae. Because her ability to bring Lilly and Luc together in this wonderful story was so fantastic! Once again, this is proof that Decadent is one of the premiere publishers of erotic romance.
This goes on my recommended reads for everyone! Yes, you heard me, I believe everyone will enjoy this story!
