This book had an amazing price when I found it... FREE. Reading the description it sounded like a nice quick read with a theme that was right up my alley. I'm happy to say, it was... for the most part.
This book is hard for me to review. I thought the storyline had real promise and in the beginning, everything was great and I was enjoying it. I do enjoy a TPE storyline even as it pushes my limits a bit, or more because it pushes my limits. However, as time went on, this storyline surpassed a TPE and went into some very extreme areas.
This is only the second book I have read by Annabel Joseph. The first book, a lot of people had raved about, I found it to be ok. So when a friend recommended this one I was not sure what to expect. What I found surprised me.
Kitty Thomas is not known for fuzzy romance stories; her work is often dark and thought provoking. Big Sky does not disappoint on either count. I was prepared to be pushed to my emotional limits. I was prepared to question the characters and the decisions they made. I was not prepared for this story!
It's another two-view. However, it wasn't planned. I happened to purchase the book to read and wrote up a review. Then, I noticed that Gail, one of our new reviewers, had grabbed it from the database and also wrote a review. I decided to just post them both. So, here you are.

You know how it is when you find a book that you absolutely LOVE and it just touches something inside of you so strongly you want to tell everyone about it. Especially, your friend who you talk books with all the time, but you know it's not her style of book. That's my issue right now. So, instead of telling her, I'll tell you. This is one book you MUST read.
Brothers Talib, Kadir, & Rafiq have been on the hunt for a girl, who they can agree on, to marry and feel they've finally found her in Piper Glen, an employee of the Black Oak Oil Co. In the age old tradition of their ancestors, they are required to kidnap their chosen and keep her for thirty days, at which point she must make a decision to become their wife, or reject them and end the relationship. Getting Piper to Bezakistan is easy, it's keeping her that will the problem. Especially when a series of events threaten the safety of Piper from enemies who would see the 'al Mussad' family brought to their knees and banished from the country of their birth.
Joey W Hill is a name you hear all over the place when it comes to Erotic Romance books, right? Well I have a confession to make. This is the first book I've read by Ms Hill. At the beginning, I was ready to reach through the book and throttle Mr Matthew Kensington. I mean seriously. I wanted her to tear him a new one. There was some doubt as to if they would get out of this without a rape charge, and you guys know that I love a man taking charge and pushing limits. However, this was definitely pushing it for me.
A free vacation with a couple of newlyweds turns out to not be such a great idea. Kara is a third wheel and wanders down the boardwalk to find solace to her boredom. Adventure soon finds her in the form of a fortune-telling witch who captures her and holds her hostage.
Apart from his pack, Jakob is a Berserker seeking to find himself. Never in his wildest dreams does he imagine he'd also find his mate. The fact she's a Swartska hostage is not acceptable.
Jakob struggles to free his woman by freeing the beast he's fought to control for years. Once she sees what he really is, will she accept him as her own?
Tiffany, oh wonderful Tiffany, you do love to write a mind game of a BDSM story don’t you. I have to admit, that I read The Siren before all these earlier stories, so I came in already knowing the ‘secret’. Everyone seems to have this hot and heavy issue with the ‘secret’. Perhaps it is because I’m an atheist, or perhaps it is that I am a total fan of The Thorn Birds, I just don’t care. Love is love. It is really hard to mess around with something that the universe has destine to happen.
With that being said, we enter Daniel.
Mistress Nora needs a vacation. She might be the one flogging the clients, but Kingsley, her sexy French boss, is the real sadist who rarely gives her a day off. They strike a backseat deal: Nora gets one month off and a trip to Europe if she can sneak into a rival BDSM club and get the dirt on the owner. But she’ll need more than her little red riding crop when she comes face to face with Brad Wolfe, the one man who stands between her and freedom.
Be still my wicked little heart. I LOVE this couple. D. Cristiana just has a way with words. I first read about this couple in a previous short done by the author. I was sucked in to their world and living it with them. It is sexy, dark, doomed, desperate, and beautiful all at once. Then, I happened upon All Romance and saw this as a new release and squealed so loud that the whole neighborhood heard me. I adore this couple. I think because Marguerite is so hopelessly strong-willed she is vulnerable.
When Molly loses her longtime Master, she feels lost, angry. Confused. She’s unsure of her future, even her calling to the BDSM lifestyle. She knows her Master always intended her to go to his friend Mephisto next, but their emotionally—and sexually—fraught history is still a confusion of desire and fear in her mind.
