New Year – New Fetishes
With the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, my thoughts immediately turned to writing projects for 2012. Yep, no resolutions for me. Just goals.
First up is a blast from the past. I’m back to working on the Purgatory series and in particular Burned.
Each Purgatory book focuses on a different fetish. First there was bondage with Roped, then exhibitionism in Displayed, then flogging with Whipped. The fourth and what I thought would be the final book is about fire play. This book went out of print over a year ago but I hope to get it back out very very soon. I’m digging in and fleshing it out just a bit more before its reissue.
Of course, just when you think you’re done with something a new idea hits you upside the head. Or at least it does me. In fact, this idea happened on a recent New Year’s Eve at a fetish/goth event I attended. Talk about a way to ring in the New Year. How about a long, drawn out flogging to focus your thoughts and wash the remnants of the previous year away? Or the repeated brush of heat across your bare skin as your painted with hot wax to wipe out the old?
Definitely takes “in with the new and out with the old” to a whole new level…
At this point, I guess I have to admit I’m quite the voyeur when I go to these clubs. There is always a lot to do and see and I’m easily fascinated by it all. Even the corset piercings that creep me out. (me no likey the needles)
So after Burned, I will be exploring at least a few more fetishes with my first look at sharing.
I already love to write ménage relationships and have done so many times in different combinations and genres. But that’s not exactly what I mean. I want to delve into the why and how a Dom shares his submissive on a temporary basis. I’m so interested in this story it’s hard not to drop everything and work on it. But those pesky deadlines demand otherwise at least for January.
In the meantime I’ve had some fun and sexy new releases in the past two months to include the second in my Pleasure Playground series, Power Play and a short holiday kink story, Wicked Christmas Eve.
As for fetishes, I’d love to hear some of your favorites. Do you have a favorite to read? Or wish an author would write about your favorite? Leave me a comment and let me know, I’d love to hear from you.

I’ve read a couple of Eliza’s books in the challenges on the BDSM group at GoodReads and I love her work. I look forward to exploring her in more depth this year – exploring her BOOKS in more depth this year.
This would be a first book by Eliza for me, but it looks really good.
I have to say that ropes and flogging/paddling/etc are probably my fave fetishes. I really must get this series, they look great! Thanks for the cahnce to win a copy of this one.
Eliza is a new to me author. I have heard a lot about her but have not had the chance to read any of her books yet. This would be a great way for me to get into her work.
Thanks for a great giveaway and post

Sorry, I have no fetishes – apart from reading about them
And, *hangs head*, I have ALL of Eliza’s books! (bit of a fan-girl here!)
Well, my favorite non-sexual fetish is riding a Harley with a guy in leathers. (This lovely Air Force major near Boston has offered me a ride if I go to the fetish convention there in February 2013.) And, even though I imagine he’ll be hot (he’s even gonna put on some fake tats to help fulfill the fantasy–he’s so clean cut LOL), but I’m trying to get him to notice a friend of mine. So, strictly hands off–except, of course, for my hands around his waist while we ride. (And, alas, the poor guy hasn’t figured out his Dom nature yet, so he wont’ be at the convention.)
Oh, I am thanking you for sharing the demo you happened into at the December fetish convention. I incorporated my image of it into the blog I’m sharing here tomorrow–Master Damian showing Master Luke the technique. Hope I got it right! LOL Will explore further before it goes into Master Luke’s story–but I figured a guy so good with ropes had to know his way around the whips, too.
I downloaded Submissive Beauty and will start reading soon! It’ll be my first Eliza book–but I’m sure not the last!

I have to confess that the first BDSM romance book I ever read was one of Eliza’s. I could make a cherry comment here but I think I will refrain.
Kally: I believe that Eliza’s “Roped” is really what set me off on my love affair with rope.
oh! Please enter me. I’ve like several of her books. Thanks!
I like reading about rope bondage (like myself), menages and floggings. I tend to gravitate toward BDSM/Menage books when I read, though I read others including other genres.
Would love to get one of your other books. this series is being added to my TBR wishlist.
I like reading about bondage, domination. I love reading anything by Eliza. I think I may have everything except power play, but I could look again. thanks for the chance!
Thank you all so much for the lovely comments. And a special thanks to Riane for having me today. I can’t wait to incorporate a lot more fetishes as I expand all three of my BDSM series.
Kally, I love the whip now. It’s funny how some things sounds scary until you try them.
I like bondage and domination-not so much into pain. I’d love to visit a club just to see what’s going on, but I’m in a small enough town I don’t think there are any. Thanks for the giveaway!
my name says it all, doesn’t it? okay, but i’m really curious about violet wands… i’ve read the definition, but i can’t seem to wrap my head around the practical uses (yeah, i know, i’m a natural blonde, ok?). so while it may not be a fetish of mine yet, reading what can be done with them might bump it up to the top of my “to try” list
I have to say that to date, my favorite BDSM read is Peppermint Passion by Ann Mayburn. That story just did it to me and I will tickle torture that woman to continue with that menage.
Kink wise. I’m an exhibitionist, it is so bad the thought of it makes me tingle and tremble all over. I’m a fan of spanking but in other places. I have fallen in love with wax play, cage play, anal play is a daily event for me lol
This is a great blog posting and it was awesome to read…. lurks over to Amazon to add Eliza’s books to her next ten to buy…
I love reading about rope play and flogging, those are two of my favorites!
I’m finding I have liking for a number of fetishes, so I’m excited about reading your series. I’ve never experienced it (a “yet” I hope!) but I’d love to check out rope play. Shibari sounds and looks so amazing and even though I have a difficult time imaging that the ropes won’t be cutting into my skin (not a fan of pain), at the hands of a master, I would hope it would be workable.
Thanks for the post, Eliza!

Have to say I am a fan of Eliza’s. Glad to hear there’s a new Purgatory book. Anyone who hasn’t read Eliza…be prepared to become addicted. I have all of her books!
