Review by Penelope:
Peter and Gina have been together for six months. Although happy, Peter just can’t forget the one night he spent with Andrew in Avalon twelve years ago. To consider a future relationship with Gina, he must first address his past relationship with Andrew, his first love.
On Christmas Eve, Pete and Gina travel to Catalina Island where his grandmother’s cottage was deeded to him upon her death. After an initial awkward reunion and the introduction of a new girlfriend, this story follows a conflicted decision of old and new love. And a future of possibilities.
This is a feel good holiday short story with a erotic flare. I appreciated the open mindedness of the central characters to accept their intuitive feelings for each other in such a short time. While not too steamy, I wouldn’t have expected it to be because of the evolving timeline of the story. Worth reading for the smile factor at the end of the story.
