Tasha Lane never realized how boring her life had become until one phone call in the middle of the night totally changed it. Can this forty-two year old accountant put aside a nine-year age gap and perpetual “foot in mouth” disorder to find love and happiness with an ex-rodeo star turned rancher?
Three years ago, Devin Grant traded the rodeo circuit for a cattle ranch. If someone told him, he would fall in love with a woman he’d never physically met, he’d think they were kicked too many times in the head by a bull. When her brother is thrown from his horse, it was finally time to meet the sexy woman of his dreams and convince her, he was worth taking a chance on.
Can he convince her before she goes back to her boring life? Will she be able to overcome their age difference and her own insecurities?
Penelope’s Review:
What’s a sister to do when she gets a call in the middle of the night letting her know that her brother had been thrown from a horse at the ranch he was working at and had just got out of surgery?
Natashia Lane had always shared a special closeness with her brother David so when his boss Devin Grant calls her to tell her of his accident and that he has arranged to have her fly out to be with David she doesn’t hesitate. What she doesn’t realize is that Devin has secretly lusted over her picture and is using the opportunity of David’s accident to get her to come out to his ranch. Once there he plans to seduce her into his bed where hopefully she won’t want to leave.
I’m a believer. After years of being a loyal paranormal erotica lover I have now become a certified buckle bunny fan. Cowboys have a unique hotness factor that has become addictive and this book surely fed into my newly acquired habit. I was fascinated with the prime studly cowboy who uses his body and mind to seduce sweet Natashia. Steamy scenes of carnal sex were hot, hot, hot and well written. And the plot story line made this more than just a sex themed read.
My only let down to this fast paced short story was that the relationship between the two central characters didn’t feel right to me. Tasha came across as a cougar type female who enjoyed being with Devin for the short term relationship and vice versa. To believe that either of them intended the relationship to have a HEA ending could have benefited with more of a back story buildup. Sure I’m happy with the ending but I didn’t feel the author convinced me that it would last based on what I read.
Regardless, this is a terrific short cowboy erotic tale that delivers. As a new to me author I wasn’t sure what to expect but if this story is anything to go by I will definitely be on the look out for more from this author. This book is a ‘Ride Em Cowboy’ hot read that you will love.

Cougars like cowboys too. The blurb sounds good, nice read, I am sure it;s an HEA. I hope he didn’t intentionally spook the horse, or Tasha won’t be happy.
When I read cowboy and erotic somewhere in the same sentence, it has my undivided attention!! Cowboys are HOT!! Great review and one I’ll definitely check out
Thanks for taking the time to read and review my book!
