Review by Penelope:
Time is running for Ryan Carmichael. He has two weeks left before his green card expires and the INS will deport him back to Scotland.  He wants to marry his best friend and lover Jake Grove to stay and live together in Pennsylvania but same sex marriages aren’t recognized in the US. His last hope is to find a nice American girl who will agree to marry him thus giving him a loophole into US citizenship.

Molly Potter’s previous marriage was to a man who abused her physically and psychologically.  She’s done with men and just wants to be left alone to manage her mother’s yarn shop.  Well, except for her secret fantasies that involve UPS drivers Ryan Carmichael and Jake Grove.  A surprise blizzard strands Molly, Ryan, and Jake together. Finding out that the two live together as a couple isn’t half as confusing as finding out Ryan wants to marry her ASAP.  Can the guys convince Molly that they want her ’til death do us part’ before the blizzard ends or will they be left out in the cold for good?

This was a story I read during an actual snowstorm in my area.  Talk about setting the mood.  If only some UPS driver would have made a delivery of his own at my house my night would have been complete.  But, sadly, no delivery and no guys for me.  Reading this book was to be as close as I was going to get.  Thankfully I wasn’t disappointed.  A great plot, developed characters, and well written erotica made this a read I couldn’t put down

I thought this would be a quick erotic read that would follow a predictable goal driven plot.  The author surprised me.  Sure, there’s no complex story line where the characters recover from their trauma and betrayal issues presented as back stories, but the intense scenes, mostly of the erotica kind, still had surprises.  Scenes in this book are smoking hot, intense, and frequent and include both menage and m/m action. A very memorable strip poker game scene  had me squirming, while Molly’s ‘convince me’ scene still gives me the shivers.  I would have liked to have had more romantic elements come through to believe this relationship evolved for the right reasons but, heck, HAWT sex is good too.  I was also happy how the “what does a Scotsman wear under his kilt” question was answered.  But you’ll have to read the book yourself to find out the answer.

As much as I enjoyed this book I did have some concerns. Molly’s history of being married to an abusive husband didn’t seem logical with the way Molly behaved.  I would have expected to have baggage issues that would have affected certain scenes in the book. Also, the randomness of Scottish accent and burr throughout the story.  Personally, I find Scottish accents like Ryan’s to be extremely sexy, so to see Ryan flip from speaking with a perfect American English to Scottish randomly was a let down.  ’ Ah sae loove a sexy hot Scottish bloke.’

I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read more than I can say. An unexpected but satisfying ending capped off the love crush I had.  Applause. Applause. Cooper. Good job.
