Alexa works very hard and very long hours. The only boyfriend she has time for is B.O.B…and the ones in her fantasies. Arriving at work early one morning, She sees Sebastian, the guy she’s been drooling over since he started working there. Ducking into a conference room to let her imagination run wild, she gets the surprise of her life when he walks in and shares a few interests of his own.
Overall, I enjoyed this story. I start with that because early on, I found myself a little disappointed. There was a lot of sex, little story, and both characters came across as egotistical and not someone I’d like. However, as the story progressed, things got much better. I almost felt like it was a different story with different characters even. Alexa and Sebastian became much more relatable and the story developed beyond the sex. Some early details were necessary but I do wish the beginning had been written differently. If I wasn’t such a persistent reader, I might have given up before it got to the good part.
I would have like a bit more detail with the characters. An IT guy with Sebi’s lifestyle has to have more to his story. The ending did feel a bit rushed. There was at least one thread in the story I felt was just left hanging. Some of the sex scenes were very hot, so if you have a part where it’s mostly sex, that is one good quality to have.
The BDSM was on the light side of the spectrum. There was a whipping scene but it did not involve the main characters.
I might read this book again if I’m looking for a fast hot read, but I’ll turn elsewhere if I want a story I can sink into. I will definitely read another book by Ms Church as the last two-thirds of this book had very good potential.
