One of Lucifer’s seven princes, Asmodeus, has scoped out Kain, a spoiled rich asswipe type of guy, with the intention of claiming his eternal soul for Hell. But. Kain is so evil and unfeeling in his own right that Asmodeus wonders if he might have finally found a mortal worthy enough to be his mate. Kain the predator is about to find out what it’s like to become Kain the prey.
The Publisher's Proposal is a relatively short novella with a lesbian BDSM theme that focuses on the relationships of an erotica editor, her publisher, and her best selling author, whom the editor has helped attain authenticity in her writing by personally training her in the finer points of BDSM. While reading it, at one point I remember thinking that this book contains some of the best writing in this genre that I have read in awhile in terms of creative premise, interesting characters, and snappy dialogue. Indeed, I still think that, but as for being a satisfying erotic BDSM read, it fell somewhat short.
Calhoun Cordell should have had his head examined when he agreed to show up at his ex-fiance's wedding. The glares and dirty looks were expected but Katherine, the bride, begged him to attend so he did. Just when he's ready to make a quiet exit Daniel Patterson, successful CEO and good friend of the groom, introduces himself and talks him into leaving with him to hang out at a local bar for the rest of the night. Good looking, sexy, and gay, is Daniel helping out his friend, the groom, or does he have another reason to get Cal alone?
This book is the modern version of the 'Wizard Of Oz' erotica style. DG Harper is a twenty-three year old who lives with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry and works as a waitresses at a sports bar saving her money to afford moving to New York City. She's pursued by three hunky single alpha brothers Joe, Eric, and Bo who work for her uncle but use every opportunity to bed her, and her lesbian co-worker Charlene, who has makes it known she wouldn't mind being with her either. A sudden storm comes up with DG (Dorothy) waking up to find herself in Oz. Good witch Glinda, who resembles her co-worker Charlene, is there informing her she has killed a wicked witch and is to wear the BDSM ruby collar (what's sexy about ruby slippers) the witch herself wore.
